There are three ensembles to choose from. P.S. Jazz, P.R Jazz and Trading in Jazz are quite different in styles. Trading in Jazz have a repertoire mostly of Dixie and Trad’ Jazz. P.R. Jazz have a massively versatile and entertaining repertoire that is sure to win the respect of your guests. P.S Jazz is a duo which specialises in gentle background music.

P.S. Jazz

P. S Jazz is a duo made up of guitar and saxophones. This ensemble specialises in gentle music that you can listen to or talk over. The ensemble is named after the players who are Paul Smith and Paul Sogaard.

Some concern has been expressed in the past when enquiring about this ensemble that the saxophone is a loud instrument. The repertoire has been chosen specifically for the soothing and relaxing ambience. Examples of some of the pieces are classics such as Over the Rainbow, Angel Eyes, Misty and Gershwin’s beautiful melody Summertime. Of course we can cover livelier pieces such as St Thomas, Satin Doll and Take the A Train should the mood be right.

Ideal for dinner parties and wedding receptions, your guests will be able to relax and enjoy your occasion.

P.R. Jazz

Formed in 1996, P.R Jazz is a Duo or Quartet featuring the very best musicians available.

Music is made up from the great jazz standards of the last century and is suitable for background and foreground music. Artists including Ella Fitzgerald, George Benson, Spyro Gyra, Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollings, Stan Getz, Benny Goodman are among many more that are featured in making up the repertoire.

Classics such as All of me, Don’t get around much any more and Jersey bounce will be heard in a typical session.

Trading In Jazz

Formed in 1994, Trading in Jazz is a lively seven-piece Trad’ and Dixie Jazz Band.
